Archipel India Private Limited (AIPL) is a new generation agro-forestry based food company working with small holder farmers across India. AIPL operates an innovative carbon financing business model with large multinational companies as clients. AIPL sprang from 20+ years of work conducted by Naandi Foundation in the Araku region creating a functional food forest with 52 million trees and a specialty coffee brand ARAKU.
Job Summary:
AIPL is looking for a Vice President – Finance who can lead the project finance as well as profitability and statutory compliances. The ideal candidate is a CA/MBA graduate from tier 1 B-school, have at least 3 years of leadership experience managing organizations with revenues exceeding $10 million, exposure to carbon markets and fundraising.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive financial strategy, planning, and forecasting in alignment with business goals.
- Serve as a key advisor to the Director and Board on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead long-term financial planning and scenario modelling to support strategic initiatives and sustainability goals.
- Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Monitor cash flow, expenditures, and profitability to ensure the financial health of the organization.
- Help in preparing investor presentations, pitch decks, and financial models for potential fundraising.
- Provide strategic oversight on financial aspects of Nature Based Solutions.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA or MBA-Finance from Tier-1 B school with minimum 10+ years of experience, with at least 3 years in a strategic executive role.
- Demonstrated success in managing finances of companies with $10M+ annual revenues.
- Strong preference for experience in agriculture, sustainability, carbon market or FMCG.
- Exceptional financial modelling, analysis, and strategic planning skills.
- Strong leadership and people management abilities.
- High integrity and a deep understanding of corporate governance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
